The Chevrolet Malibu xl light control is combined on the light joystick on the left side of the steering wheel. The functions include turn signal lights on (up and down toggle switching), high and low beam switching (front and rear toggle switching), and automatic headlights (AUTO). To activate the smart high beam system, press the button on the turn signal stalk when the exterior light controls are in the AUTO or low beam position. When the high beams are turned on, a blue high beam on indicator is displayed on the instrument cluster. The intelligent high beam system is used while driving, and the system only activates the high beams when the vehicle speed exceeds 40 km/h. A sensor near the center above the windshield automatically controls the high beam system.
